PTS Privacy Policy

Peace Theological Seminary & College of Philosophy, Inc. (“PTS”) knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. PTS strives to respect and protect the privacy of individuals that visit our web sites. This notice constitutes our Privacy Policy.

No PTS services are directed to children under 13. Federal law requires that PTS may not collect any personally identifiable information from persons under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age, you may not register an account with PTS or provide any of your personal information to PTS.

This PTS Privacy Policy applies to the all of the information found on msia.org.

  1. What Information PTS Collects and For What PurposesTo most effectively offer our services, PTS may collect information from you in the following ways:

Registration Information You Provide.
If you wish to register an account with the PTS website, PTS requests you to provide your identifying information (name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, email address, and a user name and password you designate). You are not required to provide this information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features.

Online Store Transactions.
If you wish to purchase anything from the online store, PTS requires that you provide, in addition to your identifying information, payment information, including financial account information.

Server Log Information.
PTS’s servers automatically log certain basic technical information when a user accesses the website, which may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser’s request to the PTS server, the date and time of the request, the language and type of browser being used, the referring web page, your computer’s operating system, and any PTS cookies associated with your browser.

Communications from you to PTS.
If you send correspondence or email to PTS or otherwise communicate with us, we may retain copies of the communications to assist you or for our records.

Cookies.
When you browse to www.ptswisdom.org, our system sends a small file called a “cookie” to your computer that identifies your browser. This allows PTS to recognize you for purposes of saving your preferences or providing personalized service. We use cookies to record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart, record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, customize Web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends. Since we use cookies to make your web site visit more user friendly, be aware that refusing cookies may not allow you to take full advantage of some our web site features.

To make your experience easier and more enjoyable, PTS keeps track of your account preferences.

The only purposes for which PTS processes personal information are those stated in this Privacy Policy, including the above, and the following purposes:

III. Where Information is Processed
PTS processes personal information on its servers located in the United States of America.

    PTS will only share your personal information with third parties, if at all, in these limited circumstances:

PTS believes in good faith that use or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
(1) detect or prevent fraud or security issues

(2) comply with any law, regulation, legal process or government order

(3) protect the rights of property or safety of PTS or its members

(4) to enforce PTS’s website policies or investigate potential violations thereof.

  1. Use of Non-Personal Information
    PTS may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated demographic data that will not identify you or any member personally, such as the number of users who viewed a particular page in a given time-period, or geographic statistics about our members.

2. Information Security
Any of your personal information that is stored is kept securely on MSIA / PTS’s servers. We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our site, which encrypts information you input, except for domain name data.

VII. Leaving MSIA.org
By clicking on any outbound links or advertisements on www.ptswisdom.org, you are leaving the PTS website, and any transfers of information between your computer and the non-MSIA website or service you navigate to are not subject to this Privacy Policy.

If you use an outside service to make a payment, such as PayPal, the financial information you provide to that service is governed by that service’s Privacy Policy, not PTS’s.

VIII. Mergers or Acquisitions
If PTS becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or other sale of its assets, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in the transactions and notify you before the information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

  1. Accessing or Updating Your Information
    If you have registered with MSIA.org, you may login to your MSIA / PTS account to manage or correct your information.

You may not register with MSIA.org if you are under 13 years of age. Federal law prohibits the collection of personal information from persons under 13 years of age.

An up-to-date version is kept at www.msia.org/ptspolicyIf you have registered as a user with PTS, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes to this policy or the way we collect or use personal information at the email address you provide to us.
